| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the El Paso Chapter of the Military Order of the World |

| 4 | 4 | | Wars on the occasion of the chapter's 40th annual Massing of the |

| 5 | 5 | | Colors, which is taking place on April 11, 2015; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Massing of the Colors is a ceremony that dates |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | to 1922 and is held to encourage citizens to rededicate their |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | faith in the flag of the United States of America; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, This patriotic ceremony is an expression of support |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | for service members past and present who have served under the flag |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and fought for this nation's continued freedom; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Massing of the Colors includes color guards |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | representing all branches of the United States armed forces, all |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | levels of law enforcement and public safety, and many civic and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | patriotic organizations that support those who serve; now, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Legislature, hereby commend the El Paso Chapter of the Military |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Order of the World Wars for their work honoring those who uphold |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the values and freedoms of this nation and declare April 11, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 2015, as Massing of the Colors Day in Texas; and, be it further |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
