| 4 | 4 | | WHEREAS, This much-anticipated yearly event is being held |

| 5 | 5 | | at the Burleson County Saddle Club and will feature a live |

| 6 | 6 | | auction and several raffles in addition to the cook-off; proceeds |

| 7 | 7 | | from the event will fund scholarships for seniors in the Caldwell |

| 8 | 8 | | Burleson County Future Farmers of America; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers |

| 10 | 10 | | Association as one of the organization's annual state cook-offs, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the Caldwell FFA Booster Club Cook-Off features talented chefs |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | from across the state competing against one another to produce |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the tastiest entries in the categories of beef brisket, pork |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | spare ribs, chicken, and pinto beans; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Caldwell FFA Booster Club Cook-Off is sure to provide cuisine to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | satisfy the most discriminating of palates; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby commend the participants, sponsors, and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | organizers of the Caldwell FFA Booster Club Cook-Off and extend |

| 21 | 21 | | to them best wishes for a successful event; and, be it further |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
