SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 582
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the 28th annual Caldwell FFA Booster Club Cook-Off; and
WHEREAS, This much-anticipated yearly event is being held
at the Burleson County Saddle Club and will feature a live
auction and several raffles in addition to the cook-off; proceeds
from the event will fund scholarships for seniors in the Caldwell
Burleson County Future Farmers of America; and
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers
Association as one of the organization's annual state cook-offs,
the Caldwell FFA Booster Club Cook-Off features talented chefs
from across the state competing against one another to produce
the tastiest entries in the categories of beef brisket, pork
spare ribs, chicken, and pinto beans; and
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the
Caldwell FFA Booster Club Cook-Off is sure to provide cuisine to
satisfy the most discriminating of palates; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend the participants, sponsors, and
organizers of the Caldwell FFA Booster Club Cook-Off and extend
to them best wishes for a successful event; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
