| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Houston Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, |

| 4 | 4 | | Incorporated, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Throughout its history, the Houston Chapter has |

| 6 | 6 | | worked diligently to carry out the traditional Top Ladies of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Distinction mission; the mission centers on enhancing and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | enriching the lives of young people and adults by offering a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | range of national programs and community-based projects; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the chapter is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | sponsoring an array of events throughout the year, including the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Founders Day Luncheon, which is being held May 17, 2015; the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | theme for this year's luncheon is "Houston Chapter Celebrating 50 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Years of Service--Forging Towards the Future"; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The Houston Chapter has had exceptional success |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | in administering the Top Teens of America program, the Community |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Partnerships program, the Status of Women program, the Community |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Beautification program, and the Senior Citizens program; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The dedicated members of this distinguished |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | organization have had a profound impact on the fabric of life for |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | many of Houston's citizens, and it is truly fitting that they |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | receive special recognition for their hard work and commitment to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | public service; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Houston Chapter of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated, on their outstanding |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | work in support of the community and extend to all best wishes for |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | a memorable 50th anniversary celebration; and, be it further |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
