| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Robbie Williams on the grand occasion of her 90th |

| 4 | 4 | | birthday; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A woman of charm and grace, Mrs. Williams is well |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | known for her generosity of spirit, and she is a beloved citizen |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | of Austin; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Robbie Williams was born on July 21, 1925, and she |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | grew up in the Center Union and Winchester communities near |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Smithville; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, She moved to Austin more than 70 years ago to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | attend school and find work; instead, however, she found love |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | when she met Clarence Williams, and the couple enjoyed 48 years |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | of marriage together until his passing in 1992; their daughter, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Carroll Brown, grandsons, Chris and Clint, and great-granddaughters, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Charlize and Camdyn, have been a source of much pride and joy for |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | her; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practices her faith in her |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | daily life, Mrs. Williams is a longtime member of Greater Mount |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Zion Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Williams has lived through times and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | experienced events that many people only know through history |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | books, and there is much to be learned from the wisdom she has |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | gained over the years; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of her community, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Robbie Williams is noted for her warmth and wise counsel, and she |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | inspires those around her with her enthusiasm for living each day |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | to the fullest; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Robbie Williams and extend to |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | her best wishes for a memorable 90th birthday celebration; and, |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | be it further |
