11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 664
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize the Hillier Funeral Home, which is celebrating the
44 grand opening of its new facility at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on
55 May 6, 2015; and
66 WHEREAS, Hillier Funeral Home was established in 1918 by
77 Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hillier; their son, C. Russell Hillier,
88 carried on the family business for many years; and
99 WHEREAS, For nearly a century, the staff at Hillier Funeral
1010 Home have provided conscientious, professional service to
1111 families in times of need; in 1998, they began serving clients at
1212 their newly opened state-of-the-art facility in Bryan, and they
1313 are now celebrating the opening of an additional facility in
1414 College Station; and
1515 WHEREAS, Hillier Funeral Home has maintained a longstanding
1616 reputation for excellence, and the professional staff at the new
1717 facility will carry on a proud tradition of dependable service
1818 and a friendly atmosphere; now, therefore, be it
1919 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
2020 Legislature, hereby commend Hillier Funeral Home on its history
2121 of exemplary service in the community and extend congratulations
2222 to all on the opening of the new facility in College Station; and,
2323 be it further
2424 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
2525 funeral home as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
