| 4 | 4 | | 2015 H-E-B Excellence in Education Rising Star Award in the |

| 5 | 5 | | secondary education category; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are |

| 7 | 7 | | designed to recognize educators who demonstrate exceptional |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | commitment to student achievement by developing innovative programs, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | by bringing about increased parental and community involvement, or |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | by creating professional development opportunities; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The Rising Star Award honors teachers who have |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | less than 10 years of experience in the classroom; Mr. Razo's |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | selection as a finalist for the award is a testament to his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | commitment to his students at Mission Junior High School, his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | excellent teaching methods, and his proven ability to motivate |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | his children to learn; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are |

| 18 | 18 | | proud to recognize the outstanding Texas educators, such as Jesus |

| 19 | 19 | | Razo, who are building the future of Texas by educating our next |

| 20 | 20 | | generation of leaders; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Jesus Razo on his selection as a |
