SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 674
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Jesus Razo, who has been selected as a finalist for the
2015 H-E-B Excellence in Education Rising Star Award in the
secondary education category; and
WHEREAS, The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are
designed to recognize educators who demonstrate exceptional
commitment to student achievement by developing innovative programs,
by bringing about increased parental and community involvement, or
by creating professional development opportunities; and
WHEREAS, The Rising Star Award honors teachers who have
less than 10 years of experience in the classroom; Mr. Razo's
selection as a finalist for the award is a testament to his
commitment to his students at Mission Junior High School, his
excellent teaching methods, and his proven ability to motivate
his children to learn; and
WHEREAS, The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are
proud to recognize the outstanding Texas educators, such as Jesus
Razo, who are building the future of Texas by educating our next
generation of leaders; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby congratulate Jesus Razo on his selection as a
finalist for the prestigious 2015 H-E-B Excellence in Education
Rising Star Award in the secondary education category and extend
to him best wishes for his continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
