SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 70
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Q'ing to Cure Childhood Cancer BBQ Cook-off; and
WHEREAS, This highly anticipated event is being held June
12 and 13, 2015, at the Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe; it
is sponsored by the Jesus is Bigger Than Cancer Foundation and
sanctioned by the Texas Gulf Coast BBQ Cooker's Association; and
WHEREAS, Proceeds from the cook-off will go to support
research in the fight against childhood cancer; and
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and
the Q'ing to Cure Childhood Cancer BBQ Cook-off is sure to
provide cuisine to satisfy the most discriminating of palates;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend the sponsors and organizers of the
Q'ing to Cure Childhood Cancer BBQ Cook-off on their hard work
and dedication and extend to them best wishes for a successful
cook-off; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
honor of this exceptional event.
