                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 721
 In Memory
 of
 Joann Curran Zaleski
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
 citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Joann Curran Zaleski,
 who died April 21, 2015, at the age of 63; and
 WHEREAS, Joann Curran was born on January 12, 1952, in
 Abilene, and she graduated from Rider High School in Wichita
 Falls in 1970; and
 WHEREAS, She earned a degree in design from the University of
 North Texas and worked for a time in fashion merchandising before
 enrolling at The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a
 degree in early childhood education and a teaching certificate; and
 WHEREAS, She shared 29 years of marriage with Peter
 Zaleski, and they were blessed with two daughters and a grandson
 who were a source of immense pride and joy; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Zaleski was dedicated to her work as a
 prekindergarten teacher at Zavala Elementary School for 32
 years; she cared deeply for her students, many of whom benefited
 from her personal assistance in times of need, and she was known
 as a source of support and guidance to her colleagues; and
 WHEREAS, Joann Zaleski was respected and admired for her
 outstanding career as a teacher and for her many contributions to
 the community; she leaves behind memories that will long be
 cherished by all who were privileged to share in her life; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
 family of Joann Curran Zaleski; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of Joann Zaleski.
