| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Jacqueline Monique Morales on the occasion of her 2015 |

| 4 | 4 | | graduation from The University of Texas at Brownsville |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | Mathematics and Science Academy; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jacqueline is graduating as valedictorian of her |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | class at the Mathematics and Science Academy; the academy was |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | established to offer an accelerated educational program to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | motivated high school juniors and seniors who have demonstrated |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | an interest in pursuing careers in the fields of mathematics and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | science; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of her high school career, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Jacqueline has maintained a straight A average while |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | participating in a wide array of extracurricular activities, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | including cheerleading, marching band, the Sign Language Club, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and the National Honor Society; she served as vice president of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the student council and took part in the 2013 National Youth |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Leadership Forum on Law and Crime Scene Investigation; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, She has also completed more than 380 hours of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | community service and served as an English tutor at The |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | University of Texas at Brownsville; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, A high achiever, Jacqueline establishes and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | pursues her goals with perseverance and a clear vision of her |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | future; her notable accomplishments at school bear witness to her |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | dedication and outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby commend Jacqueline Monique Morales on the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | occasion of her graduation from The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Brownsville Mathematics and Science Academy and extend to her |
