SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 732
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Jacqueline Monique Morales on the occasion of her 2015
graduation from The University of Texas at Brownsville
Mathematics and Science Academy; and
WHEREAS, Jacqueline is graduating as valedictorian of her
class at the Mathematics and Science Academy; the academy was
established to offer an accelerated educational program to
motivated high school juniors and seniors who have demonstrated
an interest in pursuing careers in the fields of mathematics and
science; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of her high school career,
Jacqueline has maintained a straight A average while
participating in a wide array of extracurricular activities,
including cheerleading, marching band, the Sign Language Club,
and the National Honor Society; she served as vice president of
the student council and took part in the 2013 National Youth
Leadership Forum on Law and Crime Scene Investigation; and
WHEREAS, She has also completed more than 380 hours of
community service and served as an English tutor at The
University of Texas at Brownsville; and
WHEREAS, A high achiever, Jacqueline establishes and
pursues her goals with perseverance and a clear vision of her
future; her notable accomplishments at school bear witness to her
dedication and outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend Jacqueline Monique Morales on the
occasion of her graduation from The University of Texas at
Brownsville Mathematics and Science Academy and extend to her
best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
