SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 794
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Mark Lockerman, who is retiring as director of the
State Fire Marshal's Office on May 31, 2015, after 23 years of
exemplary service; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lockerman joined the State Fire Marshal's
Office as a licensing investigator at the Dallas/Fort Worth
office in May of 1992, and he was later promoted to program
administrator; and
WHEREAS, He continued rising through the ranks and joined
Fire Arson Investigations to administer the canine team; he was
later promoted to director of Fire Arson Investigations and
Safety Inspections; and
WHEREAS, As director of the State Fire Marshal's Office,
Mark Lockerman has handled his far-reaching responsibilities
with exceptional efficiency and dedication; his expertise has
helped promote broad-scale agency success, and his presence with
the fire marshal's office will be greatly missed; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend Mark Lockerman on his 23 years of
outstanding service with the State Fire Marshal's Office and
extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
