| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Vintage Oaks residential community and its |

| 4 | 4 | | developer, SouthStar Communities, on the occasion of the |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | dedication of the Timber Ridge Park and Veteran's Walk on May 19, |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | 2015; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Vintage Oaks is a 3,300-acre community located |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | along the Texas Wine Trail in New Braunfels; the community serves |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | as home to many active and retired veterans who love the Hill |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Country and who seek a home with easy access to nearby veteran |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | services; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Timber Ridge Park and Veteran's Walk is the newest |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | addition to Vintage Oaks and is a direct reflection of SouthStar |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Communities' commitment to veterans; the 23-acre site offers |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | serene spaces for recreation and relaxation in a stunning |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | landscape; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The park features new walking trails, a naturally |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | terraced hilltop that is shaded by a grove of heritage oak trees, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and Veteran's Walk, a commemorative stone pathway honoring |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | veterans and dedicated by the residents and owners of Vintage |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Oaks; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The community is one of the largest sources of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Veteran Land Board loans in the state, and four one-acre home |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | sites on the property have been designated for Operation FINALLY |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | HOME; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby commend SouthStar Communities on its |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | development of Vintage Oaks and on the firm's contributions to |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | our dedicated servicemen and servicewomen and extend best wishes |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | to all involved in the creation of the Timber Ridge Park and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Veteran's Walk; and, be it further |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in |
