SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 798
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Vintage Oaks residential community and its
developer, SouthStar Communities, on the occasion of the
dedication of the Timber Ridge Park and Veteran's Walk on May 19,
2015; and
WHEREAS, Vintage Oaks is a 3,300-acre community located
along the Texas Wine Trail in New Braunfels; the community serves
as home to many active and retired veterans who love the Hill
Country and who seek a home with easy access to nearby veteran
services; and
WHEREAS, Timber Ridge Park and Veteran's Walk is the newest
addition to Vintage Oaks and is a direct reflection of SouthStar
Communities' commitment to veterans; the 23-acre site offers
serene spaces for recreation and relaxation in a stunning
landscape; and
WHEREAS, The park features new walking trails, a naturally
terraced hilltop that is shaded by a grove of heritage oak trees,
and Veteran's Walk, a commemorative stone pathway honoring
veterans and dedicated by the residents and owners of Vintage
Oaks; and
WHEREAS, The community is one of the largest sources of
Veteran Land Board loans in the state, and four one-acre home
sites on the property have been designated for Operation FINALLY
HOME; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend SouthStar Communities on its
development of Vintage Oaks and on the firm's contributions to
our dedicated servicemen and servicewomen and extend best wishes
to all involved in the creation of the Timber Ridge Park and
Veteran's Walk; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
honor of all who have played a role in this addition to Vintage Oaks.
