| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Lauren Patricia Wandell of Girl Scout Troop 10127 on |

| 4 | 4 | | earning the Girl Scout Gold Award; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Few Girl Scouts attain this distinguished award; |

| 6 | 6 | | it is the highest level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and |

| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, The Girl Scout program develops leadership skills |

| 8 | 8 | | and organizational abilities and encourages a commitment to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | community service; girls working toward the Girl Scout Gold Award |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | gain valuable experience that will contribute to their future |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | success; and |

| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, To earn the Gold Award, Lauren met a series of |

| 13 | 13 | | requirements that demonstrated her leadership abilities, and she |

| 14 | 14 | | designed and conducted a service project that will have a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | positive and lasting effect on her community; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, By earning the Gold Award, Lauren has brought |

| 17 | 17 | | honor to herself, her family, her council, and her community, and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | she deserves recognition for her dedication and achievement; |

| 19 | 19 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature, hereby commend Lauren Patricia Wandell on receiving |
