SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 801
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Lauren Patricia Wandell of Girl Scout Troop 10127 on
earning the Girl Scout Gold Award; and
WHEREAS, Few Girl Scouts attain this distinguished award;
it is the highest level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and
WHEREAS, The Girl Scout program develops leadership skills
and organizational abilities and encourages a commitment to
community service; girls working toward the Girl Scout Gold Award
gain valuable experience that will contribute to their future
success; and
WHEREAS, To earn the Gold Award, Lauren met a series of
requirements that demonstrated her leadership abilities, and she
designed and conducted a service project that will have a
positive and lasting effect on her community; and
WHEREAS, By earning the Gold Award, Lauren has brought
honor to herself, her family, her council, and her community, and
she deserves recognition for her dedication and achievement;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend Lauren Patricia Wandell on receiving
the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her congratulations on
her exemplary accomplishment; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
