| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Elinor and |

| 3 | 3 | | Dennis Siple placed great faith and trust in one another, and |

| 4 | 4 | | they have been amply rewarded, as they recently celebrated their |

| 5 | 5 | | 50th wedding anniversary; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Elinor Louise Josephine Mason and Dennis Wilson |

| 7 | 7 | | Siple married in Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Dunstable, |

| 8 | 8 | | Bedfordshire, England, on May 1, 1965; they had met one another |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | on a blind date while Mr. Siple was a member of the United States |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Air Force stationed in England, and Mrs. Siple was a student at |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Luton College; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Siple have continued to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | cherish traditional family values; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, This distinguished couple has been blessed with a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | wonderful family; their two children, eight grandchildren, and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | six great-grandchildren have been a source of much pride and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | joy; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | sorrows of everyday living; their long and happy union is truly |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | an inspiration to all; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to Elinor and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Dennis Siple on their 50th wedding anniversary; and, be |
