| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Navasota High School Rattlers football team, which |

| 4 | 4 | | recently won the Class 4A Division I state championship title; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Navasota Rattlers defeated the Argyle Eagles |

| 6 | 6 | | with an exhilarating 42-35 win in double overtime at the AT&T |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Stadium in Arlington; it was the team's second state championship |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | in the last three seasons; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, These young athletes demonstrated great talent |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and perseverance throughout the school year, and they ended the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | season with a perfect 16-0 record; team members can take great |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | pride in their outstanding performance; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | head coach Lee Fedora, the Rattlers have developed exceptional |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | teamwork and discipline; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Navasota High School and the City of Navasota are |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | proud of the Rattlers for their hard work, their impressive |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Navasota High School Rattlers on |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | their successful season and congratulate them on winning the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Class 4A Division I state football championship; and, be it |
|---|
