4	4	Job M. Reigoux
5	5	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
6	6	commemorates the life of Staff Sergeant Job M. Reigoux, who died
7	7	in the line of duty June 1, 2013, at the age of 30 while serving
8	8	his country in Afghanistan; and
9	9	WHEREAS, Job Reigoux was born April 15, 1983, in Austin, to
10	10	Reuben Reigoux-Rios and Maria E. Guevara; he was quiet and
11	11	reserved as a young man, and his interests included working on
12	12	classic sports cars with his father; he was a 2001 graduate of
13	13	Echelon Charter School; and
14	14	WHEREAS, He met his wife and the love of his life, Erica
15	15	Santiago, while working in retail, and the couple was blessed
16	16	with two children, Seth and Maddison; and
17	17	WHEREAS, Shortly after his marriage to Erica, he enlisted
18	18	in the United States Army and began his service stationed in
19	19	Schweinfurt, Germany, in 2006; he was twice deployed to Iraq and
20	20	was serving in Afghanistan with the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor
21	21	Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, when he
22	22	gave his last full measure of devotion to his country; his
23	23	decorations included a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star; and
24	24	WHEREAS, Sergeant Reigoux is part of the long line of
25	25	courageous men and women whose bravery and sacrifice have left a
26	26	lasting mark on the world; his unwavering dedication to duty and
27	27	honor embodied the highest ideals of the United States Army; and
28	28	WHEREAS, A young man of courage, strength, and compassion,
29	29	he gave unselfishly to others, and his ready humor, his generous
30	30	spirit, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest
31	31	will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to share in his
32	32	life; and
33	33	WHEREAS, He was a devoted son, brother, husband, and
34	34	father, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
35	35	forever by his family and many friends; and
36	36	WHEREAS, In recognition of his ultimate sacrifice in the
37	37	Global War on Terror, Staff Sergeant Reigoux is being
38	38	posthumously honored at a Joint Memorial Day Ceremony in the
39	39	Texas House of Representatives on May 23, 2015; now, therefore,
40	40	be it
41	41	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
42	42	Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
43	43	family of Job M. Reigoux; and, be it further
44	44	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
45	45	his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
46	46	Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
47	47	memory of Job M. Reigoux.
