| 4 | 4 | | celebrate Cedar Creek Lake Day at the Capitol; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, More than 75,000 Texans reside near Cedar Creek |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Lake, which encompasses 34,000 acres and features 328 miles of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | picturesque shoreline; local residents and tourists take |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | advantage of one of the state's largest residential lakes and its |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | shoreline by engaging in a wide range of outdoor activities, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | including boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and golfing; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, With a healthy blend of residential and business |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | interests, excellent schools, and abundant opportunity for |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | growth, the region has much to offer citizens of 13 communities, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | such as Kemp, Gun Barrel City, Eustace, Mabank, Seven Points, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Tool; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, While area towns are proud of their individual |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | identities, they share the values and ideals of a caring, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | close-knit, and unified community; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Cedar Creek Lake is one of our state's true |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | treasures, and residents justifiably take great pride in the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | beauty of the lake and the character of the surrounding area; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby recognize February 3, 2015, as Cedar Creek |

| 25 | 25 | | Lake Day at the State Capitol and extend to the delegation here |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | today sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and memorable visit; |
