                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 93
 WHEREAS, Residents of the Cedar Creek Lake area of
 Henderson County are gathering in Austin on February 3, 2015, to
 celebrate Cedar Creek Lake Day at the Capitol; and
 WHEREAS, More than 75,000 Texans reside near Cedar Creek
 Lake, which encompasses 34,000 acres and features 328 miles of
 picturesque shoreline; local residents and tourists take
 advantage of one of the state's largest residential lakes and its
 shoreline by engaging in a wide range of outdoor activities,
 including boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and golfing; and
 WHEREAS, With a healthy blend of residential and business
 interests, excellent schools, and abundant opportunity for
 growth, the region has much to offer citizens of 13 communities,
 such as Kemp, Gun Barrel City, Eustace, Mabank, Seven Points, and
 Tool; and
 WHEREAS, While area towns are proud of their individual
 identities, they share the values and ideals of a caring,
 close-knit, and unified community; and
 WHEREAS, Cedar Creek Lake is one of our state's true
 treasures, and residents justifiably take great pride in the
 beauty of the lake and the character of the surrounding area;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
 Legislature, hereby recognize February 3, 2015, as Cedar Creek
 Lake Day at the State Capitol and extend to the delegation here
 today sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and memorable visit;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
 honor of this occasion.
