| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Raul Vasquez, who is retiring from the City of Corpus |

| 4 | 4 | | Christi after more than 30 years of outstanding service; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Vasquez has served the city with distinction |

| 6 | 6 | | over the course of a career that saw him rise to the position of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | safety coordinator in the Risk Management Division of the city's |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Legal Department; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Vasquez is the senior member of the Risk |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Management Division staff; throughout his career, he has been |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | noted for his superior expertise in the fields of workplace |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | safety, management, personal security, and emergency |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | preparedness; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he has handled his many |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | responsibilities with exceptional dedication and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | professionalism; he is also active in the community as a reserve |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | deputy for the Nueces County Sheriff's Office; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, He is an exemplary public servant who is respected |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and admired by his colleagues, and his presence in the City of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Corpus Christi Legal Department Risk Management Division will be |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Raul Vasquez on his exceptional |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | service to the people of Corpus Christi over the course of his |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | career and extend to him best wishes for continued success in all |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | his endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
