SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 960
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Raul Vasquez, who is retiring from the City of Corpus
Christi after more than 30 years of outstanding service; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vasquez has served the city with distinction
over the course of a career that saw him rise to the position of
safety coordinator in the Risk Management Division of the city's
Legal Department; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vasquez is the senior member of the Risk
Management Division staff; throughout his career, he has been
noted for his superior expertise in the fields of workplace
safety, management, personal security, and emergency
preparedness; and
WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he has handled his many
responsibilities with exceptional dedication and
professionalism; he is also active in the community as a reserve
deputy for the Nueces County Sheriff's Office; and
WHEREAS, He is an exemplary public servant who is respected
and admired by his colleagues, and his presence in the City of
Corpus Christi Legal Department Risk Management Division will be
greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend Raul Vasquez on his exceptional
service to the people of Corpus Christi over the course of his
career and extend to him best wishes for continued success in all
his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
