SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 983
WHEREAS, The birth of a baby is one of the most treasured
events in the life of a couple; and
WHEREAS, January 13, 2012, is a day that will long be
remembered by Jorge and Monica Joy Partida, for on that day their
daughter Penelope Joy Partida was born; and
WHEREAS, The beautiful baby girl was born at Saint David's
Hospital in Austin; she weighed five pounds 10 ounces, and her
safe arrival fulfilled her parents' dearest wish; and
WHEREAS, Jorge and Monica, along with Penelope's grandparents,
Santa Robles Morales and Jorge and Christina Partida, are filled with
joy over this long-awaited infant, who has already found a permanent
place in their hearts; and
WHEREAS, It is indeed appropriate that the Texas Senate
welcome this new little Texan as a treasured citizen of the Lone
Star State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby congratulate Jorge and Monica Joy Partida on
the birth of their precious child and extend best wishes for the
future to Penelope Joy Partida; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the Partida family as a memento of this special day.
