| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dr. Penny Reddell, who is retiring after 21 years of |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | dedicated service with the Lewisville Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Reddell has served in public education as a |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | teacher, consultant, administrator, adjunct professor, assistant |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | superintendent, and associate superintendent; before joining the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Lewisville district, she served in the Tyler Independent School |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | District and Education Service Center Region VII; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, As an educator, Dr. Reddell has instilled in her |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | students an appreciation for hard work and a love of challenge |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and learning; as an administrative leader, she has procured |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | funding to implement a variety of beneficial programs for |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | students of all backgrounds, and she has worked diligently to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | ensure that teachers in the district have the tools they need to |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | foster student success in the classroom; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Reddell is a member of numerous professional |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | associations, and she was honored as the 2005 Texas Computer |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Education Association Administrator of the Year; she is a respected |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | leader in her field, and her presence in the Lewisville Independent |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | School District will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Penny Reddell on her exemplary |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | career in public education and her many contributions to the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Lewisville Independent School District and extend to her best |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
