SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 986 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Dr. Penny Reddell, who is retiring after 21 years of dedicated service with the Lewisville Independent School District; and WHEREAS, Dr. Reddell has served in public education as a teacher, consultant, administrator, adjunct professor, assistant superintendent, and associate superintendent; before joining the Lewisville district, she served in the Tyler Independent School District and Education Service Center Region VII; and WHEREAS, As an educator, Dr. Reddell has instilled in her students an appreciation for hard work and a love of challenge and learning; as an administrative leader, she has procured funding to implement a variety of beneficial programs for students of all backgrounds, and she has worked diligently to ensure that teachers in the district have the tools they need to foster student success in the classroom; and WHEREAS, Dr. Reddell is a member of numerous professional associations, and she was honored as the 2005 Texas Computer Education Association Administrator of the Year; she is a respected leader in her field, and her presence in the Lewisville Independent School District will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Penny Reddell on her exemplary career in public education and her many contributions to the Lewisville Independent School District and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
