RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Subchapter A, Chapter 521, Transportation Code, by adding Section 521.0062, as follows: Sec. 521.0062. INFORMATION ON DRIVING WITH AUTISM. Authorizes the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to make available, in a publicly accessible area of a driver's license office, informational materials and videos on driving with autism that are developed by an appropriate entity, as determined by DPS. SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 2017.
