| 13 | 7 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 14 | 8 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 15 | 9 | is amended by adding Section 225.123 to read as follows: | |
| 16 | 10 | Sec. 225.123. CHRIS KYLE MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The portion | |
| 17 | 11 | of State Highway 191 in Ector County is designated as the Chris Kyle | |
| 18 | 12 | Memorial Highway. | |
| 19 | 13 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | |
| 20 | 14 | (1) design and construct markers indicating the | |
| 21 | 15 | designation as the Chris Kyle Memorial Highway and any other | |
| 22 | 16 | appropriate information; and | |
| 23 | 17 | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at | |
| 24 | 18 | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. | |
| 25 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | |
