The bill would amend the Business & Commerce Code relating to the waiver of certain fees for an assumed name certificate or a statement of abandonment of use of an assumed name filed by a military veteran.The Secretary of State assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017.
