99 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1010 AN ACT
1111 relating to the location of the Irma Rangel College of Pharmacy.
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Section 89.051(b), Education Code, is amended to
1414 read as follows:
1515 (b) The college shall be known as The Texas A&M University
1616 System Health Science Center Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy,
1717 and the primary building in which the school is operated shall be
1818 located in Kleberg County and must include "Irma Rangel" in its
1919 official name.
2020 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2121 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2222 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2323 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2424 Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
