| 12 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Section 89.051(b), Education Code, is amended to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | read as follows: |

| 15 | 15 | | (b) The college shall be known as The Texas A&M University |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | System Health Science Center Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and the primary building in which the school is operated shall be |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | located in Kleberg County and must include "Irma Rangel" in its |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | official name. |

| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
