| 14 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 15 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 408.1225, Labor Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 16 | 10 | | adding Subsections (g) and (h) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 17 | 11 | | (g) On request of the division, a designated doctor shall |
|---|
| 18 | 12 | | provide the division with a copy of any contract that is: |
|---|
| 19 | 13 | | (1) between the designated doctor and an authorized |
|---|
| 20 | 14 | | agent of the doctor; and |
|---|
| 21 | 15 | | (2) for services provided by the agent related to the |
|---|
| 22 | 16 | | designated doctor's duties, including scheduling, billing, and |
|---|
| 23 | 17 | | organizing medical records. |

| 24 | 18 | | (h) A contract provided to the division under Subsection (g) |
|---|
| 25 | 19 | | is not subject to disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code. |

| 26 | 20 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
