| 12 | 6 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 7 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 8 | | amended by adding Section 662.065 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 9 | | Sec. 662.065. BRAVE DAY. (a) March 21 is Breast |
|---|
| 16 | 10 | | Reconstruction Advocacy and Education Day, or BRAVE Day, to promote |
|---|
| 17 | 11 | | breast reconstruction advocacy and education, and the rights and |
|---|
| 18 | 12 | | choices women have for prevention of, treatment for, and recovery |
|---|
| 19 | 13 | | from breast cancer. |
|---|
| 20 | 14 | | (b) BRAVE Day shall be regularly observed by appropriate |
|---|
| 21 | 15 | | programs and activities. |
|---|
| 22 | 16 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 23 | 17 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 24 | 18 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 25 | 19 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 26 | 20 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
