114 AN ACT
125 relating to the imposition of a criminal penalty for the violation
136 of a rule adopted or order issued under the Flood Control and
147 Insurance Act in certain counties.
158 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
169 SECTION 1. Section 16.3221(a), Water Code, is amended to
1710 read as follows:
1811 (a) A person commits an offense if the person violates this
1912 subchapter or a rule adopted or order issued under this subchapter
2013 in regard to a property located in a county with a population of
2114 more than 75,000.
2215 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
2316 to a violation committed on or after the effective date of this Act.
2417 A violation committed before the effective date of this Act is
2518 governed by the law in effect on the date the violation was
2619 committed, and the former law is continued in effect for that
2720 purpose. For purposes of this section, a violation was committed
2821 before the effective date of this Act if any element of the
2922 violation occurred before that date.
3023 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
