A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the use of electronic payment methods for parking
meters in the Capitol Complex.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 443.015, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows:
(c-1) A parking meter installed under this section must
accept electronic payment methods, including payments made with a
credit or debit card, for payment of a parking fee collected through
the parking meter.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
