The bill would amend Chapter 455 of the Transportation Code to require the Texas Transportation Commission, instead of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the House in current law, to appoint members to the Public Transportation Advisory Committee.The Texas Department of Transportation indicates that any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
