 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the program for improvement of collection of court
 costs, fees, and fines imposed in criminal cases.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Article 103.0033(b), Code of Criminal Procedure,
 is amended to read as follows:
 (b)  This article applies only to[:
 [(1)]  a county or [with a population of 50,000 or
 greater; and
 [(2)  a] municipality with a population of 100,000 or
 greater.
 SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
 Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
