A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the treatment of certain types of water by water
treatment specialists.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 1904, Occupations Code, is amended by
adding Subchapter C to read as follows:
SUBCHAPTER C. PRACTICE BY CERTIFICATE HOLDER
Sec. 1904.101. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN WATER. (a) For
purposes of this section, "graywater" and "alternative onsite
water" have the meanings assigned by Section 341.039, Health and
Safety Code.
(b) A person who holds a certificate issued by the
commission under the program established under this chapter may
treat graywater and alternative onsite water.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
