114 AN ACT
125 relating to the continuation of the Red River Boundary Commission.
136 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
147 SECTION 1. Section 12.057(b), Natural Resources Code, is
158 amended to read as follows:
169 (b) Not later than July 30, 2021 [2017], the commission
1710 shall issue a final report to the governor, lieutenant governor,
1811 speaker of the house of representatives, and appropriate committees
1912 of the legislature.
2013 SECTION 2. Section 12.058, Natural Resources Code, is
2114 amended to read as follows:
2215 Sec. 12.058. EXPIRATION OF SUBCHAPTER. This subchapter
2316 expires December 31, 2021 [2017].
2417 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2518 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2619 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2720 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2821 Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
