| 11 | 14 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 15 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Code of Criminal Procedure, is |

| 13 | 16 | | amended by adding Article 2.101 to read as follows: |

| 14 | 17 | | Art. 2.101. MAGISTRATE'S NAME ON SIGNED ORDER. Any signed |
|---|
| 15 | 18 | | order that is issued by a magistrate under this code or any signed |
|---|
| 16 | 19 | | order pertaining to a criminal matter that is issued by a magistrate |
|---|
| 17 | 20 | | under the Family Code, Government Code, or other law of this state |
|---|
| 18 | 21 | | must include, with the magistrate's signature, the magistrate's |
|---|
| 19 | 22 | | name in legible handwriting, legible typewritten form, or legible |
|---|
| 20 | 23 | | stamp print. |

| 21 | 24 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act in adding |

| 22 | 25 | | Article 2.101, Code of Criminal Procedure, applies to a signed |
