| 12 | 6 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 7 | | SECTION 1. Section 2001.420, Occupations Code, is amended |
|---|
| 14 | 8 | | by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 9 | | (d) Notwithstanding any other law, a licensed authorized |
|---|
| 16 | 10 | | organization may offer and award as a bingo prize under this chapter |
|---|
| 17 | 11 | | a ticket for a charitable raffle conducted under Chapter 2002. The |
|---|
| 18 | 12 | | bingo prize amount is the cost to purchase the ticket to enter the |
|---|
| 19 | 13 | | charitable raffle for purposes of this chapter. |
|---|
| 20 | 14 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 21 | 15 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 22 | 16 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 23 | 17 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 24 | 18 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
