| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Section 7-c(d), Article VIII, Texas Constitution, |

| 7 | 7 | | provides: "The legislature by adoption of a resolution approved by |

| 8 | 8 | | a record vote of two-thirds of the members of each house of the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | legislature may direct the comptroller of public accounts to reduce |

| 10 | 10 | | the amount of money deposited to the credit of the state highway |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | fund under Subsection (a) or (b) of this section."; now, therefore, |

| 13 | 13 | | RESOLVED by the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas, That, |

| 14 | 14 | | for the state fiscal year beginning September 1, 2017, the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | comptroller of public accounts reduce the amount of money that |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | would otherwise be deposited in that state fiscal year to the credit |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of the state highway fund under Section 7-c(a), Article VIII, Texas |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Constitution, by 50 percent; and, be it further |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That, for the state fiscal year beginning September |

| 20 | 20 | | 1, 2018, the comptroller of public accounts reduce the amount of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | money that would otherwise be deposited in that state fiscal year to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the credit of the state highway fund under Section 7-c(a), Article |

| 23 | 23 | | VIII, Texas Constitution, by 50 percent; and, be it further |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That this resolution is adopted only if approved by |

|---|
