CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Section 7-c(d), Article VIII, Texas Constitution,
provides: "The legislature by adoption of a resolution approved by
a record vote of two-thirds of the members of each house of the
legislature may direct the comptroller of public accounts to reduce
the amount of money deposited to the credit of the state highway
fund under Subsection (a) or (b) of this section."; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED by the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas, That,
for the state fiscal year beginning September 1, 2017, the
comptroller of public accounts reduce the amount of money that
would otherwise be deposited in that state fiscal year to the credit
of the state highway fund under Section 7-c(a), Article VIII, Texas
Constitution, by 50 percent; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That, for the state fiscal year beginning September
1, 2018, the comptroller of public accounts reduce the amount of
money that would otherwise be deposited in that state fiscal year to
the credit of the state highway fund under Section 7-c(a), Article
VIII, Texas Constitution, by 50 percent; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That this resolution is adopted only if approved by
a record vote of two-thirds of the members of each house of the
legislature; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the secretary of state forward an official
copy of this resolution to the comptroller of public accounts.
