56 WHEREAS, Section 21.004(a), Government Code, provides: "At a
67 convenient time at the commencement of each regular session of the
78 legislature, the chief justice of the supreme court shall deliver a
89 written or oral state of the judiciary message evaluating the
910 accessibility of the courts to the citizens of the state and the
1011 future directions and needs of the courts of the state."; now,
1112 therefore, be it
1213 RESOLVED by the 85th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, That
1314 the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Texas meet
1415 in Joint Session in the Hall of the House of Representatives for
1516 that purpose on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.; and, be
1617 it further
1718 RESOLVED, That the Honorable Nathan L. Hecht, Chief Justice
1819 of the Supreme Court of Texas, be, and is hereby, invited to address
1920 the Regular Session of the 85th Legislature in Joint Session at that
2021 time.
