56 WHEREAS, Dripping Springs Pop Warner is beginning its
67 inaugural season in April 2017; and
78 WHEREAS, Founded in 1929, Pop Warner Little Scholars is the
89 largest youth football, cheerleading, and dance program in the
910 world, serving more than 325,000 youngsters from ages 5 to 16 across
1011 the globe; the nonprofit is committed to nurturing well-rounded
1112 young men and women by emphasizing the values of leadership,
1213 teamwork, and personal responsibility while also promoting
1314 academic excellence; and
1415 WHEREAS, The new Dripping Springs charter is dedicated to
1516 advancing the mission of its parent organization, and it will offer
1617 football and cheerleading programs to kids from ages 5 to 12; and
1718 WHEREAS, Dripping Springs Pop Warner is sure to make an
1819 important and positive difference in the lives of countless area
1920 young people, and it is truly a pleasure to recognize this
2021 worthwhile organization; now, therefore, be it
2122 RESOLVED, That the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas
2223 hereby commemorate the inaugural season of Dripping Springs Pop
2324 Warner and extend to all those affiliated with the group sincere
2425 best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2526 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2627 prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the
2728 Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
