No. 63 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Dripping Springs Pop Warner is beginning its inaugural season in April 2017; and WHEREAS, Founded in 1929, Pop Warner Little Scholars is the largest youth football, cheerleading, and dance program in the world, serving more than 325,000 youngsters from ages 5 to 16 across the globe; the nonprofit is committed to nurturing well-rounded young men and women by emphasizing the values of leadership, teamwork, and personal responsibility while also promoting academic excellence; and WHEREAS, The new Dripping Springs charter is dedicated to advancing the mission of its parent organization, and it will offer football and cheerleading programs to kids from ages 5 to 12; and WHEREAS, Dripping Springs Pop Warner is sure to make an important and positive difference in the lives of countless area young people, and it is truly a pleasure to recognize this worthwhile organization; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas hereby commemorate the inaugural season of Dripping Springs Pop Warner and extend to all those affiliated with the group sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
