| 10 | 11 | | Texas, Mr. May and Ms. Cline gave an outstanding performance to |

| 11 | 12 | | become the 2A Conference state champions; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The triumph was the culmination of West Hardin |

| 13 | 14 | | High's success in cross-examination debate over the past three |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | years; Mr. May teamed with Christian Lewis to reach the octafinals |

| 15 | 16 | | at the 2015 state meet, and the duo of Mr. May and Ms. Cline |

| 16 | 17 | | represented the school at the event in 2016, earning an |

| 17 | 18 | | Octafinalist Award for their efforts; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Through their skill, hard work, and commitment to |

| 19 | 20 | | excellence, Brett May and Selah Cline have distinguished themselves |

| 20 | 21 | | in statewide competition, and they may reflect with pride on a job |

| 21 | 22 | | well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
