 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Jonanna
 Young George of Lubbock, who passed away on March 1, 2017, at the
 age of 76; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Hazel and O. W. Young, the former
 Jonanna Young was born in Crosbyton on February 11, 1941; she grew
 up in West Texas, living in a number of different towns, and
 graduated from Spur High School; while attending Texas Tech
 University, she met the love of her life, Bobby Rex George, and they
 married in 1959; and
 WHEREAS, The Georges became the parents of three children,
 David Rex, Nancy Carol, and Sarah Margaret; over the years,
 Mrs. George knew the joy of welcoming into her family four
 grandchildren, Amanda, Meghan, Tyler, and Kyle, as well as three
 great-grandchildren, Hadley, Barrett, and Harrison; and
 WHEREAS, A woman of strong faith, Mrs. George was an active
 member of Second Baptist Church and served the congregation as a
 deacon; she treasured the caring fellowship of her church family
 and especially the members of her Covenant Sunday school class; and
 WHEREAS, Jonanna George lived a rich and purposeful life
 centered on her faith and her family, and she will long be
 remembered with deep affection by all who knew her; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jonanna Young
 George and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jonanna
 Young George.
