 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The annual Breast Fest Charity Cook-Off at Buffalo
 Springs Lake in Lubbock offers attendees the opportunity to sample
 delicious barbecue while benefiting a worthy cause; and
 WHEREAS, Hosted by Ribbons of Love, the Breast Fest Charity
 Cook-Off is an International Barbeque Cookers Association
 sanctioned event, and it is a true community effort, with
 assistance being provided by Lubbock County, the BBQ SuperStars
 Sports Network, and corporate sponsors from the surrounding area;
 proceeds support breast cancer research and patients as well as a
 scholarship fund for a high school senior whose life has been
 impacted by the disease; and
 WHEREAS, This culinary contest allows barbecue chefs from
 around the region to put their skills to the test as they vie for
 cash prizes and bragging rights in a range of categories; and
 WHEREAS, The Breast Fest Charity Cook-Off is a
 much-anticipated get-together that promotes fun, fellowship, and
 healthy competition while contributing to the fight against breast
 cancer, and this exceptional fund-raiser is indeed deserving of
 special recognition; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby commemorate the Breast Fest Charity Cook-Off and
 extend to the competition's organizers, participants, and guests
 sincere best wishes for a memorable event.
