| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Chief Don Crowson of the Arlington Fire Department |

| 7 | 8 | | Government Service by the American Medical Association on February |

| 8 | 9 | | 28 at a banquet in Washington, D.C.; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The highest honor bestowed by the American Medical |

| 10 | 11 | | Association, the accolade pays tribute to elected officials and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | government employees who have made significant contributions |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | toward the advancement of public health; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Chief Crowson, a 34-year veteran of the department, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | was recognized for his leadership of AFD's Community Paramedic |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Program, which provides preventive care to patients inside their |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | homes in an effort to reduce demand on the EMS system and cost to the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | city, hospitals, and local residents; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Through his dedication to serving, protecting, and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | improving the quality of life for his fellow citizens, Chief Don |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Crowson has made a positive difference in his community, and he is |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | indeed deserving of recognition for his many accomplishments; now, |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
